Sunday, October 25

Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff (5M)
Time: 8:30 a.m., Central Park

Monday, October 26

Wine Tasting for Runners
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., 108 E. 16th Street
In honor of this year's marathon, Italian Wine Merchants will hold special a "Monday Night Tasting" exclusively for runners.

Tuesday, October 27

Run for Your Life Screening and Q&A with filmmaker Judd Erlich
Time: 7:30-9:15 p.m., JCC Manhattan
The remarkable story of Fred Lebow, mastermind of the New York City Marathon. Run for Your Life chronicles the exuberance and heartbreak of an eccentric man who inspired thousands to go the distance. $5 admission for ING New York City Marathon runners (just mention marathon at the box office).

Wednesday, October 28

Celebrate the Runners of the Future Benefit
Time: 6:30 p.m., Museum of the City of New York
On this special evening, celebrants gather in one of New York City's most inspired venues to enjoy a unique menu of classic New York cuisine and to support New York Road Runners' youth running programs.

Discover Harlem
Time: Various times
Discover Harlem during marathon week with special coupons for discounts at Harlem restaurants, boutiques, nightclubs, and historic and cultural sites. Offer good through Sunday, November 1.

Thursday, October 29

Run with Champions

Poland Spring Presents the Marathon Fireworks
7:30 p.m., above the ING New York City Marathon finish line. It is recommended that pets be left at home for this event.

Daylight savings time ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.

Due to production deadlines, the special marathon section can only include those who have completed the race in under 4.5 hours.
