As a dog owner and lover, this foundation is very near and dear to my heart.
The Monster Milers is an organization in Philadelphia that connects Philadelphia runners with homeless dogs as running companions. They provide ongoing support for PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) through sponsored adoption events and running adventures for the homeless dogs as they wait for their forever homes.
If this is something you are interested in, you should consider signing up for one of their orientations. According to their websites, they will be rolling out orientations almost weekly throughout the winter months. Orientations take place Monday or Tuesday nights at 5:30. Please join their mailing list to keep in the loop about upcoming orientations.
