Branding Class

As I mentioned in Friday's post, I took a class, during the convention, all about Branding and Brand Consciousness. It was really insightful, so I thought I would share some of my notes:

• Be Consistent

-Letterhead should match envelopes, business cards, etc.

-Don’t change too much, Just refresh

• Facebook pages are a new, free way to get your company info out there
  

-But keep it separate from personal

-Business oriented

-Mention blog posts to drive traffic

• Have diversified portfolio of marketing tools

-Blog

-Twitter

-Facebook

-Postcards

-Letterhead

-Website

-Etc

• Put your logo everywhere

-On contracts

-Letters

-Envelopes

• Update and customize your blog, if you don't have one, get one!
  

-Try custom header

-Look at competitors blogs for ideas

-Post videos and pictures, then tag them to increase your search engine optimization

• When posting to blog make sure it is something of value

-Trends in industry

-Tips
