These are just some more tips that I thought I would mention as they apply to all types of events:
- Plan ahead. Not that we don’t take last minute orders, but ordering in advance gives you peace of mind, a better selection of units, etc.
- Ask lots of questions. Be sure you understand the following:
- What you are ordering?
- When they are delivering the toilets?
- How much it costs?
- Are there any additional fees such as delivery fees, fuel surcharge, etc.
- Pay in advance or at least put down a deposit. If you don’t do this, some companies will give away your restrooms to another paying customer. Paying up front ensures that you have reserved your restrooms.
- If you can’t pay in advance or the company that you are working with doesn’t require it, get a receipt, invoice or signed contract. Having that piece of paper will make you feel more at ease.
- Be sure to rent from a local company. You always have the right to refuse a unit if you aren’t happy with the quality. If you rent from a local company, there is time for them to bring you a new toilet before your event starts. Companies that are further away won’t be able to do that.
- Along those lines, check the toilets when they are delivered. Make sure it is clean, there is toilet paper, etc. Don’t let the driver leave until you are satisfied.
