This Was a Little Shocking

From the Republic:

MOSCOW, Idaho — Two boys in northern Idaho are accused of setting fire to a portable toilet and causing more than $80,000 in damage after the blaze spread to a nearby school.

Latah County Prosecutor William Thompson Jr. says his office reviewed the case earlier this week and has decided not to file arson charges against the 9-year-old boys in juvenile court. The case will instead be referred to a state juvenile panel for review.

Police say the boys admitted they had set fire to a portable toilet outside a Moscow school last month. Police say the blaze destroyed the toilet and spread to the nearby school kitchen.

Thompson says the boys could still face charges in juvenile court if they don't complete the requirements imposed by the local Youth Accountability Board.

Hmmmm, 9 seems a little young to be destroying things already.  What do you think about this?

I destroyed things at nine and am a productive, law abiding citizen today. Got it all out of my system early! Nine is a very natural age for destruction, as I'm sure a child psychologist could explain better than me.
