Why don't we welcome June back?

It's June! Do you know what that means? It means summer fun like going to the beach, having bon fires or going to Six Flaggs. It means spending time with our family and friends and having an amazing time, but did you know that in the southern hemisphere, June is the first month of winter? or that June's flower is the rose and its stones are the pearl, alexandrite and moonstone? And don't forget, June is the month when we officially welcome Summer; June 21st to be exact.

We also set out to have tons of fun in June, but always forget of the important events that took place in June. Like the fact that June originally had 29 days until Julius Ceaser gave June 30 days when he reformed the Roman Calendar? How about the time the Magna Carta was granted by King John? Or the time Kentucky and Tennesse became part of the United States? Or even that one time that the United States declared war on Great Britain? Oh! and that time George Washington was appointed  commander in chief of the Continental Army

And last but not least, June is the month that we get to celebrate all of the amazing men in our lives; from fathers to uncles to godfathers. although we tell them how much we appreciate them every day, June provides us with the opportunity to say "Happy Father's Day."

So Welcome June! We're happy to have you back.
