Construction Site Tips

Along with the event tips that I posted on Wednesday, here are some tips that apply to construction sites:
  • The general rule for ordering portable toilets is 1 toilet for every 10 workers for a 40 hour work week to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Many states have health regulations that require hand sanitizer to be placed in each portable toilet. Be sure to ask for it when placing your order.
  • When you order a toilet, on a monthly basis, once a week service is included in the rental fee. Sometimes it is helpful to have the toilet cleaned more than once a week, especially if you have extra workers on site at certain times.
  • If renting a mobile office with a bathroom included, from a company like Williams Scotsman, you may be required to rent an electric flush toilet and a holding tank to hold the waste. We can provide both of those items for you.
  • We provide many other products that are useful on the job site, so be sure to ask about them.

If you have any questions about these tips feel free to contact us at (877) 234-6545 or email us at sales@aroyalflush.com.

Have a great day,

Special Event Tips

For today's post, I decided to include some tips that may help when placing the order for your next special event:
  • When deciding how many portable toilets to order, use the following chart. Based on number of people and the hours of the event, it will give you the recommended number of toilets:
  • If food is being served at your event, consider adding hand sanitizer or a hand washing stations from us as well as toilets.
  • If you can't be on location when your units are delivered, be sure to include maps of where you want the toilets placed. Try a site like Google Earth or Windows Live Local.
  • When deciding where to place your units, be sure to remember that the location must be accessible to a truck.
  • Also, carefully consider the size of the unit you have chosen. If the unit is a portable toilet, the ground must be relatively flat and you generally don't want to place them near food or refreshments. If the unit chosen is a trailer, consider what will be adjacent to it when it is being delivered and maneuvered by a truck to fit in to the space.
  • When placing your order, be sure to give a cell phone number, so we can contact you if there are any problems when delivering your units.
  • If you are having your event at a public place, you should always check to see if you need permits. Start with the governing body of where the event will take place, such as the municipal office if the event is to be held in a town park. You may need to speak with the parks & recreation department, zoning department or possibly the health department.

If you have any questions about these tips, feel free to contact us at (877) 234-6545 or at sales@aroyalflush.com.

Have a great day,

Good Bye to Vinnie!

Today is a very sad day at A Royal Flush, because we are saying goodbye to one of our oldest employees. Vinnie is finally leaving us and going back to Brazil to be with his family. He has been with the company since 1995 and he is the backbone of our company! We are very sad to see him go.
In his honor, last night, we hosted a pizza party at our offices. The Big Green Truck came and provided endless pizza, gelato, cappuccino and more. Here are some pictures from the party.
Have a great weekend,
Alex

Winterization

Cold weather and freezing temperatures can be a challenge when it comes to temporary and outdoor restroom facilities. Winterizing is important if you want to keep your job site running during the winter months.

So, as the weather outside gets frightful, expect to hear from your A Royal Flush customer service representative about winterizing your site's equipment.

Feel free to contact us at (877) 234-6545 with any questions you may have.

Stay Warm,

Welcome!

Welcome to the first posting of the A Royal Flush blog. A Royal Flush is a full service portable restroom company that services Connecticut, New York, Maryland, DC and Virginia.

A Royal Flush was started in Connecticut in 1992. We quickly expanded into New York by adding a yard in the Bronx and then later, a yard in West Point. Five years ago, we made the leap south and opened a 4th yard in Forestville, MD, which is right outside of Washington DC.

A Royal Flush offers a wide variety of portable restroom services. Not only do we have the standard portable toilets, but we also offer restroom trailers, portable wash stations, holding tanks, VIP Flushing portable toilets and much more.

We plan to use this blog to not only inform our customers but to also give an inside view into our company. I hope you will enjoy reading our posts and please feel free to comment on all of them.

Have a great day,
Alex
